Hi, my name is Sheldon Juncker, and jundar.dev is my personal development studio.
I'm experienced in general software and web development, but what truly excites me is working on projects where I get to create new technologies which help people to learn more about themselves and connect to other likeminded individuals.
Here are some projects that I'm currently involved with:
- DreamCloud -- dream journalling app
- Dreams 2020 -- dream research project
- Wiki ESA -- explicit semantic analysis tool
- Erowid Reader -- app for listening to Erowid reports
- Bausch Health -- 2021 - present
- IngramMicro -- 2017 - 2021
- TCSG -- 2013 (freelance)
About Me
I grew up in the foothills of Northeast Georgia, and spent a lot of time as a kid in the outdoors hiking and camping. I still hike a lot on the Appalachian Trail today. As I grew older, I became fascinated with philosophy and psychology. I read a lot about those subjects in high school, but when I went to college I ended up majoring in computer science as I wanted a career that would make decent money--and I didn't see a way to do that with psychology or philosophy. :)After college, I worked for 4 years as a software engineer, but on the side was working on my own dream journaling app. I was fortunate enough to find several other developers who were working on the same thing, and we teamed up. Eventually, I decided to leave my company and form a startup so that I could focus on that project full time.
Now I work primarily on DreamCloud, but as you can see, that's allowed me to work on some pretty cool projects and technologies. I'm thankful that I'm now able to integrate my interests with psychology (and philosophy) into my day to day work.
